They are inspired by Sinai – a magical and sacred land as they call it.
All of them have spent considerable time there and a lot of their songs were written there whilst meditating on the beach or deep in the desert.

‘DAHAB’ is actually a small Bedouin village in Sinai is renowned as a place where musicians and artists go to create and improvise.
It is a place which has given them a feeling of harmony, peace and being one with nature.
Their first public performance was in Dubai at the Dubai International Jazz Festival.
From then on, they played many gigs on the JUMPFEST, SLOBFEST, the Dubai Festival City and were participating at the Dubai Lime open mic scene.
The music of Dahab is a fusion of rock, folk, oriental and blues and poetry.
They are influenced by; Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, Lenny Kravitz, Santana, Tracy Chapman and many others. At the very first beginning, they were playing cover songs for many of the mentioned artists which they had interpreted, but soon began to play their own compositions.
Their first album called “Spirit of Sinai” is an acoustic album with a very mellow unplugged sound and includes a full band brought in for the recording.
Later, Ammar Dajani on Bass and Ashraf Helimi on the drums have joined the band, so now, they are performing as a 5 piece band in Dubai.
