Larisa Empisteftiko

Two villages, one problem and one solution: being against each other.
Larisa Empisteftiko (gr. Λάρισα Εμπιστευτικό) is a story written by Polyxeni Fragouli. The comedy movie appeared at the 3rd January 2012 and plays in Greece.

 

 

Both of the villages are situated in Thessaly, known as Greece main agricultural region. One day there is the decision to install a unit of biological cleaning in one of these villages, but none of them wants it in their place, so they start to lobby for the installation in the village opposite.

After the death of a famous journalist hailing from Thessaly, the Minister for Public Works and his team from Athens plan to take part at the funeral. In regard to this the leaders and people of both villages get wind of the chance to approach and influence the Minister in his decision. But there is something none of the leaders know at this time: the Minister has other plans. He wants to start a multicultural company of this region. But he reckons without the young people’s host…



A story filled up with apparently different characters, who bearing more and more resemblances  during the 90 minutes runtime of the film. It looks like a movie from Greece people for Greece people, because it is only in Greece, but of course for everybody who is interested in this language or this country, too.
