Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief  is a 2010 US-american  fantasy film based on the first novel in the best-selling series Percy Jackson & The Olympians by young-adult author Rick Riordan.

Actually it should have been an ordinary class trip. But when Mrs. Dodds, the new mathematics teacher, turns into a fury and viciously shouts for him to return the lightning bolt, Percy already suspects that something is not right here and that he should better leave right away.
On the run he quickly hunts the dangerous minotaur down –  then he gets into the camp of the half-breeds, where the children of the gods live.

Percy finds out, that he is also the son of a God. Great tasks await him: He should find out who stole the lightning of Zeus. Together with Athena's daughter Annabeth and  the satyr Grover, Percy sets out on an adventurous search.
But they are running out of time, because they know that if their mission fails, threatens a war amongst the gods.
