Hope Carnival Dance

It’s again this time of the year: people are walking laughing trough the streets wearing funny costumes, singing songs and having fun! Carnival is definitely the most important celebration of the year for all crazy party people!

Chios Island offers many possibilities for its people to enjoy these days. Many communities organize public parades with music, cars and confetti. All kinds of bars, associations and of course the schools do parties to celebrate carnival. The possibilities where to go are endless and it’s hard to decide between the many, many parties that are on Chios.

Therefore, I am here today to help you. I found a great carnival dance party where you can go with your friends, family or colleges to dress up in a funny costume and dance all night. At the same time, that you enjoy your life and have an amazing night, you can help others to make their life more enjoyable and help people how really need support.
The HOPE Carnival Dance is organized by the Cancer Association of Chios (“Hope”) which was founded in 2009 on a private initiative. Over the years it grew bigger involved volunteer doctors, psychologists, social workers and other dedicated citizens. Hope offers psychological support for patients and families, nursing support, events and actions to inform about cancer and create awareness. The association also does prevention and early detection meetings as well as they support patients financial if needed.

In my opinion Hope does a great job and is necessary for many people here on Chios. This association is worth to be supported. And why should you not take this opportunity to have a nice night with you friends and other cool people and help to fund a cancer organisation at the same time. With some Euros you spend for a drink you can give cancer patients new hope.
