Ano Koufonissi

Today I thought I would like to talk to you about a beautiful little island in Greece where you can have wonderful holidays and a relaxed time.
Koufonisia in general is a complex of two islands in the centre of the Cyclades in the South of Naxos.
Kato Koufonissi is uninhabited and has its name only because of a trip to one of its beaches by Panos Koufonissi.
Ano Koufonissi of which I will talk about is inhabited and a very nice destination for tourists.

Ano Koufonissi is a kind of tiny and secluded island to make you understand the population of this cute little island is around 400.
Even so, if you need some times people around you, you can go to Chora, the main port village. There you can find the nice Cycladic architecture as well as the most activities like touristic accommodation, taverns and shops.
But now to the real beauty of the island: its natural beauty. With its paradise like landscapes and views it seduces its visitors to go for walks, trips with the boat and by bike all over it to get to know all the small secrets it will not show us if we do not want to find them.
It has clear, exotic water, which likes to play with our senses as we see it play with the light colors of the rocks and the rays of sunshine. And with its plenty beaches with mostly soft sand the island gives us the opportunity to find the blue of the sea and the place we need to feel free and to be able to relax.
Maybe you should also know that many beaches like Pori and Fanos are used by naturists which you can avoid for sure if you want to, or which you can use for a whole body-coloring.
So if you want to get away from your daily stress and just relax a little bit in an amazingly quiet place, I have got an idea where your next holidays could go to or where you could do a day trip to from Naxos and Amorgos.
