The Drum

Today I will speak about one common object that now is very popular and present in many occasions: The drum. in ancient Greece it was called tympanon from the family of percussion, its formed of two part; one is the membrane made by using skin of donkey, and the other is  called  resonance head on the underside of the drum.
Now everybody use this instrument but how was it born?

In the past the Greek population, it was many time assailed from pirates, they were looking to steal food and capture men to make them slaves.
For survival, The Greeks they decided to move the village on the mountain very faraway from the sea and the pirates.
In this time the most important food was fishes and all the food coming from their crops, so someone have to go for fishing but how warn the people if something happen or the pirates attack, in the beginning the Greek people they put fire on the Islands for communicate to the other that the pirates are coming but this meaning lose also all the warn and all the nature around. This problem was solved with the invention of drum since that moment the Greek population uses the drum for communicate invasion or attack from pirates or ask help to the other village using a special rhythm.
