Kythira

Today I would like to present a new adorable Island located in the south- eastern tip of the Peloponnese. Kythira is wealthy of plenty historical places and charming beaches. Also the Island is so unique because of her unusual landscape.

Kythira hides a lot of miracles. The first is a cave of Milopotamos there we can find a beautiful straight of nature and genius of humanity.  The cave has nice formations of stalactites and stalagmites inside and also there is a nice church with an open roof dedicated to Saint Sofia, but not only the caves like that are included in this wonderful spot of Greece. Chytra is a one of the most impressive part of the island. This cave has amazing colors in the exterior on the seabed.

This island is also known from a places with medieval castles. The most popular is in Chora. This ‘Fortezza’ was built in 13^th century. It is situated on the high hill where tourist can admire spectacular views.

When we will explore the Kythira we can’t forget to see miracle of nature. One of them is waterfall surrounded by huge plane trees and the clean and sparkling water is height of 20 meters which in the end creates a  small  pond.

Of course if you want to rest a bit this Island can offer you  plenty incredible beaches. Everywhere the water is so crystal and under and above it are marvelous views.  Also in a many beaches are cafeterias and taverns to drink a coffee and to eat lunch.
